![]() ![]() I hope this guy knows what he's talking about. I had no idea that option existed, or that it was Dell who apparently has created/designed it. To my very great surprise, he told me Dell now has a recommended procedure to remove MaxxAudio where it is NOT necessary any more to disable any and all driver updates! I strongly suspect this has something to do with the MaxxAudio -Īnd said so to the Dell support person to whom I reported this problem through email. ![]() And I found that if I switched my default audio device to the RealTek instead of the Bluetooth, normal operation returned. In addition, during the time I wasn't getting any audio, the audio meter in the Sound menu of Control Panel was still animating away, indicated the laptop THOUGHT that the Bluetooth was getting the audio fine, no problem. And the moment everyone left my Zoom, the audio would return on the Bluetooth speaker. ![]() At that point, all audio disappeared from my Bluetooth speaker and everything became inaudible couldn't hear the guest, couldn't hear the audio on my own Screen Share, etc. Everything worked fine when I was hosting a meeting. ![]() I have an XPS 15 9520, and two days ago I experienced a problem on Zoom, when using my Bluetooth speaker as the default audio device. There appears to be an interesting development regarding Dell's relationship with MaxxAudio, the hated "feature" of the RealTek audio driver in many of the latest XPS laptops. ![]()
