Riders can now board a glass box at the corner of Fremont and Mission Street for a 30-second ride up to Salesforce Park level. Though bus terminal service remains closed until later this summer, the soft reopening featured the debut of the center’s quirky gondola. Nine months after cracks in support beams forced the closure of San Francisco’s newest urban park, baby strollers and pedestrians were once again circling the 5.4-acre rooftop park Monday at the Salesforce Transit Center.
